White Cap – a national distributor of specialty construction supplies and safety products for professional contractors – has signed on for approximately 35,000 square feet at 30300 Brookside Ave. in the Xchange Business Park.

Operations are expected to begin in early 2027, according to a press release from developers QuadReal Property Group and Hungerford Properties.

Adam Kliewer, general manager of White Cap Canada, said the company's distribution centre at Xchange Business Park will strengthen their ability to serve professional contractors across the Fraser Valley and beyond.

"Abbotsford is entering an exciting chapter of growth, and we’re proud to be part of that momentum. As infrastructure expands and investment flows into the region, we look forward to working closely with local partners, including the City of Abbotsford, to support the area’s economic development and contribute to its long-term success," he said.

Jeff Rank, senior vice-president of leasing at QuadReal, said welcoming White Cap to the business park reinforces the vision of the project – "to create a modern, connected hub for industry in the Fraser Valley."

“This is a significant step in the continued transformation of the site and a reflection of growing demand for high-quality industrial space in the region," he said.

Hungerford Properties partner Andrew Hungerford added: “This lease highlights the increasing interest in well-located, flexible industrial space. We’re proud to partner with organizations that support regional economic activity and look forward to continuing to deliver high-performing, thoughtfully designed buildings across B.C.”

The companies announced in April 2023 that their first tenant would be Cintas Corporation, providing about 100 new jobs and now operating on the site.

The 140-acre Xchange Business Park is located near Highstreet Shopping Centre on Mt. Lehman Road. It will eventually have 1.3 million square feet of light industrial space and is expected to generate about 1,000 direct jobs.

Construction has now started on the fourth of 11 buildings that will be on site.
